運輸署正研究「電動可移動工具」在香港使用的規管安排及其相關認證安排，確保符合相關技術及安全規格。建議將來只有獲認證(有標貼)的「電動可移動工具」才准許在指定的單車徑上使用。
現時所有「電動可移動工具」的使用均可能違法。待將來完成立法程序，市民便可在香港合法地使用出產時已獲得認證的「電動可移動工具」。
